Beliefs & Faith
Technocratic pragmatism — progress itself is sacred. Follows the Balance Pact alongside Elder Soren: every invention must give back to the natural world. Sees the Ethereal Web as an engineering problem to be solved, not a spiritual force. His 'prayer' is the act of building.
Geography & Territory
Steamford is the steampunk metropolis in Northern Varnoth — a monument of brass, gears, and smoke. Governed by the Technocratic Assembly, it is the industrial and mineral heartland of the continent. The Academy of Applied Sciences trains the next generation of goblin engineers.
Council Scene — Thomas's Arrival
Immediately fascinated by Thomas's tattoos. Asked to examine them closer — denied by Lady Elira. Drew parallels between Thomas's resonance and Steamford's Ethereal-tech experiments. His eyes gleamed with the possibility that magic and technology together could unlock Thomas's potential.
“Magic and technology… tricky to mix, but powerful if you know what you're doing.”
Costs & Stakes
Exiled engineers from Steamford (like Tork) represent his technocracy's shadow side — the city's willingness to suppress dissent. His push for innovation alienates traditionalists. Steamford's technology, if corrupted or weaponized, could be catastrophic.
Tome I → Tome II Arc
From enthusiastic Council innovator to someone confronting the consequences of Steamford's technocratic excess. Tork's exile and Selinda's imprisonment force Thimblegear to reckon with what his city has become. Must decide whether to reform from within or protect the status quo.
