A mist spirit that giggles when approached. Flickering yellow and violet eyes drift in its vapor. Feeds on trickster laughter and playful fear. Appears when people are dreaming in ancient ruins, forbidden rituals, or corrupted zones.

The Wandering Hand

Shadow Being

Disembodied hands wrapped in red thread and talismans. Moves by crawling, floating, or dragging itself across surfaces. Whispers invitations to places that shouldn't be open — believed to be eternally searching for their bodies.

Habitat: Abandoned houses, haunted manors

The Shadow That Plays

Shadow Being

A shadow-child with a haunting voice and too many teeth. Hides behind objects — sometimes behind your own body — and follows closely. Always watching, always inviting play, but the games are tricky and designed to make you lose.

Benika

The Crimson Leaf Spirit

Shadow Being

Takes the form of a floating red maple leaf that reveals a veiled feminine face in certain light. Corrupted ancient leaf people — extremely rare — carrying two thin sharp swords with blades made from red concentrated whirlwinds. They seek vengeance for what happened to them in life.

Shigeko

The Voice of Forgotten People

Shadow Being

A tall, veiled figure with a stitched mouth and a voice that echoes in multiple voices. Her songs pull people toward them — haunting and horrible yet beautiful. Feeds on prey with many mouths, grabbing with many hands as if grafted from many bodies.

Habitat: Ruins, old homes, abandoned cities

Korikami

The Lantern Keeper

Shadow Being

A small dark fox-like creature with a crystal lantern hanging from its tail. The lantern flickers when danger approaches or corruption is near. Walks silently, looking back only once before disappearing. Guides lost travelers.

Habitat: Between realms, forests, twilight paths

Shroud Wyrms

Crystal Serpents of the Abyss

Aberration

Crystal serpentine beasts, webbed with luminous cracks. Born from corrupted threads of the Ethereal Web, they lurk in the deepest ruins beneath Mystaris.

Threadfiends

The Stitched Horrors

Aberration

Humanoid forms made of tangled cords and stitched flesh. They shamble through corrupted forests, drawn to places where the Web has been manipulated or torn.

Webborne Revenants

Ghosts Wrapped in Corrupted Silk

Aberration

Ghostly figures of lost wanderers wrapped in corrupted silk carrying shadow weapons. They haunt the deserts and mistlands, echoes of those consumed by the Dark Web.

Ethereal Leechers

The Energy Drains

Aberration

Insects that drain magical energy instead of blood. Swarms can leave a mage completely powerless. Found in ancient forests where the Web's threads run close to the surface.

The Magic Killers

Wolf-like creatures that suppress magic in their vicinity. Their howls create zones of absolute magical silence. Among the most feared aberrations in all of Astrylis.

Broken Protectors

Aberration

Broken constructs infused with corrupted magic. Once noble protectors, they now guard nothing but empty vaults, attacking anything that approaches with fractured but still-deadly force.

Habitat: Sealed Vaults beneath Mer'Faldhur or Mystaris

Riftclaws

The Reality Tearers

Aberration

Beasts whose claws tear through almost anything — including magical barriers. Rare but wild and dangerous, roaming Astrylis's most unstable regions. Their claws leave rifts that take days to heal.

Ashen Reapers

Skeletal Fire Mages

Rare and intelligent skeletal mages wrapped in black robes, their bodies made from ashen flames. They prowl the Obsidian Wastes and are feared even by the Drakenith warriors.

Silence Ravens

Omens of Corruption

Aberration

Birds with void-black feathers that distort sound and mute magic in their wake. Their appearance is considered an omen of approaching corruption or dimensional instability.

Hunger Wisps

False Memory Lures

Aberration

Floating orbs that lure victims with false memories of loved ones, lost homes, or fulfilled desires. Those who follow them are consumed, their life energy absorbed into the wisp.

A flickering wisp with a smiling mask that rotates between joy and sorrow. Appears when someone dreams of a place they will never see again. Represents the moment between memory and melancholy joy.

The Upside-Down Trickster

Spirit

Long arms, floating cloak-like body, always upside-down, eyes in its palms. Plays with shadows and imitates people's gestures behind their backs. Embodies deception that teaches — you see your own truth when fooled.

Murkrin

The Lonely Companion

Spirit

A dense, shadowy creature with wide, unblinking violet eyes and a slow, rolling chuckle. Follows the lonely, keeping them company unseen. Represents the integration of solitude and joy.
